This model works in the same way as the Wichard brand of mooring hooks, but without the same grade of metal and therefore does not carry a strength rating. This is intended for small to medium boats in light wind. Makes the job of tying up to mooring buoys a snap. Simply take the snap hook with the line onto the eye and snap it into the bracket which has been mounted via two screws to the end of your boat hook or pole, then reach out and hook the eye of the mooring ball and while keeping tension on the line, pull back on the boat hook/pole, and you are ready to tie to your cleat on board. Perfect for those windy days or for those who like to go it alone.
