Fuel-Protect Diesel Fuel Conditioner Winter formula. It is recommended for use with low sulfur diesel (LSD), ultra low sulfur diesel (ULSD), and biodiesel up to 20% blends (B20). Field test results of diesel fuel sampling have revealed that some sources of regular diesel do have the presence of bio components. The standard for diesel fuel is ASTM D-975, and it states that regular diesel fuel is allowed up to 5% bio content without being designated biodiesel. For this reason, John Deere has chosen to simplify their product line to one that offers broad coverage for the diesel fuel spectrum from mineral based to biodiesel up to B20. Diesel fuel conditioner is a fuel additive for year round use to improve fuel quality and maintain peak engine efficiency. Regular use will minimize many of the problems caused by impurities and variances in diesel fuels.
