Description

The AWAB 316 STAINLESS STEEL WORLD CLASS hose clamp is the strongest, most durable, best engineered worm-gear style hose clamp available. The combination of a heavier band and housing, hose-friendly features, and superior materials result in greater service life and fewer failures than any other clamp. AWAB 316 STAINLESS STEEL WORLD CLASS hose clamps feature rolled band edges and a smooth band interior to eliminate the risk of damage to the hose. The joining of the band to the housing is arranged in such a manner that the least possible deviation from a circular shape arises while the clamp is being tightened – the resulting extremely even clamping force eliminates “dead spots” and leak paths. The high-strength housing withstands 70% more tightening torque, and combines with the properly pitched precision-embossed band thread and Acme-style screw to produce twice the clamping force – using only a simple nut driver. The housing assembly also has a vibration-resistant design, as effective as a nylon-insert locknut without the temperature limitations of nylon. AWAB 316 STAINLESS STEEL WORLD CLASS clamps can be used in environments with an aggressive atmosphere and risk of corrosion. 316 Stainless Steel is also suitable for a wide range of temperatures –  from cryogenic service to 1200º F.
